A Walk in the Creek

Yesterday ~ after the rain in Bowling Green put off our swimming excursion ~ we discovered it was not raining in Franklin, so we decided to take a stroll in the creek. Zaid was apprehensive for awhile; but once we drove out to the flat bridge past Ms. Janet's ~ he decided he would join in the adventure. This was a first for both Zaid and me. Walking on the rocks, it was serene ~ quiet and peaceful.

First Swim of the Summer

We made it to Russell Sims Aquatic Center today after a little rain and lightning deterred us yesterday. Zaid enjoyed both of the water slides and went down them plenty. He convinced me to go down the red slide even though I was scared..........he said that I should "face" my fears just like he does!
